Charlie Justice has tipped me off to a great band that we are both hoping is still playing shows. That band is Revolver.
These guys are pretty wild with thier tunes, and sound a lot like Nomeansno only a little less experimental.
Justice recommends a rare compilation album where Revolver plays ten tracks with ten different lead singers including Nomeansno's Mr. Wrong, and Propagandhi's Chris Hannah.
If you have any further information about the whereabouts, or fate of Revolver drop us a line @ waronmusicrecords@gmail.com.

What's New In The Used
War On Music has had an influx of great used CDs this week. Here is just a taste of what you can pick up for $8 or less - usually less.
Devoid of Faith
A great Dischord band that rocks great hardcore and avoids being pulled down with too many heavy rifts.
NOFX - Punk In Drublic
Possibly the most popular NOFX album ever, it is just a great mix of melodic tunes with enough edge to keep the punk label in my opinion. Lyrics is the other thing that seperates this album from some other great skate punk albums that came out in the mid-nineties.
The Smugglers - Selling The Sizzle
West coast surf-thrash from B.C. that is 100% grade A rock. Fast light tifts, that combine with fun lyrics for a disc that is great for a drive down the open highway, and perfect for a party.
Poison Idea - Pajama Party
Classic Poison Idea, hard cutting chords with some of the best raspy vocals since Lemmy. This is a cover album that includes a cover of Motorhead, Jail House rock (hilarious version that is more realistic than Elvis' cover), and a really sweet Kick Out the Jams cover.
Dropkick Murphys - Singles Collection 1
This is a great pick up. You get a lot of live classics, and covers like White Riot. The other songs on this album are some of the hardest and best that Dropkick has ever recorded. My favourites are John Law, 3rd Man In, and Eurotrash.
Check these and several other titles out at War On Music for the cheapest used prices in the province.

We Want Justice - Profile 1
Welcome to the first "the people in your neighborhood"- War On Music the series that lets you get to know the crew that behind the store for the hardcore... music enthusiast.
Meet Charlie Justice.
When I got my first email from Justice I thought that was a stage name, but no this guy hit the cool name jackpot.
Justice, 27, is one of the two remaining operators that helped first launch War On Music. "War On Music didn't start the way you might think," he told me. "We were interested in cooperatives. A cooperative was the goal, we just all happened to be in bands, so a music cooperative just made sense."
Evil Survives is the main band that Justice plays in right now. You can hear the influences of Iron Maiden, Stryker, and Mercyful Fate as he wails on the guitar in a manner that makes every song sound like an epic journey.
Justice has also plays the bass, and considers it a completely different creature than guitar. "Guitars are all about finesse and feel. I see the bass as more of a percusive instrument."
Blaster Master, and Minority Justice League the other two bands that Justice plays with. Blaster Master is looking for a guitar player, so if you got game shoot Justice a line at www.waronmusicrecords.com. Send a demo, becuase I can't garauntee that auditions will be set up.
In terms of Minority Justice League former drummer Dean has not been seen by myself or Justice for years. Dean if you read this call Downtown, Charlie, or Shecky - we miss ya buddy.
Charlie Justice recommends:
Skull Fist
Chauldron
Sacrifice
Coriner
and Jason Beckard who specializes in neo-classical guitar.

Listen Up !
War On Music is at a new location at 42 Albert Street, and other than the wider selection that includes the new Agnostic Front 7 inch and a copy of NOFX's Surfer 7 inch there is also
THE BRAND NEW LISTENING STATION. Now that CD Plus Madison Square is closed WAR ON MUSIC has the only ready to listen listening station left in the city, and if you want to listen to a random disk - they do that too. I will push this in the future becuase it is a great way to find new great music.

First Strike
War On Music is officially in blog format so check it out on a regular basis for the best music selection for those that perfer a real selection, rather than the selection major labels stick you with at the mall.
The new location is rockin' at 42 ALBERT STREET, with a larger selection of everything from custom T-shirts to the latest releases on vinyl. You can also reach them at www.waronmusic.com, on Facebook, and on Twitter (due to technical difficulties I don't have a picture up yet, but it is coming faster than an S.T. bass line).
I just grabbed myself a nice selection including Nomeansno's Wrong, a Wrong shirt, and No Fun At All's 1996 release Out Of Bounds.
The label also is stoked to announce up coming releases from great bands Bison, Electro Quarterstaff, and Goathorn.
I'm finishing up my classes nearby War On Music at Red River College, so I have not been able to get indepth with the collective, but follow the adventures of Charlie Justice and the rest of the collective as we explore what is happening with original music, and what it takes to run a get it out to the people.
And please, listen to one song a week from a band you have never heard of.
