There has not been too much going on at War On music of late other than the usual great tunes, and great deals on shirts and stuff like that, so I am digging to find topics.
One thing that has gone well, and is DIY, is the video me and friend Jaremy Ediger put together for our broadcast journalism assignment. It is to the Dead Kennedy's cover of Viva Las Vegas. The basic premise is me dressed up as a Elvis look-a-like or something as I get ready for the day and proceed to steal food, start fights and have "encounters", all of which I get away from scott free because I twirl my moustache.
I do my own stunts including a slow motion scissor kick, and Jaremy really blew up the set with his killer shooting skills. My favourite shot is Jaremy's TSN runway shot. Special thanks goes out to Brian Couch for being on point with a great high five.
Jaremy was kidding around about doing it, but we thought what the heck let's shoot this shit and see how it goes. It was gold Jerry, gold.
Here is the video, and if you like it show your friends, because there may be more in the future.
Stay tuned for my favourite used pick ups of 2011 wrap up blog.
