Ringworm was the flavour of the day at work today. I don't work at War On Music by the way, but I still have access to so dudes in the know about local, and foriegn music.
My buddy Dillon tells me about this band Ringworm. I don't like the name, but the tunes are not too shabby.
They are on Victory Rebords, and I thought I was in a time warp becuase nothing this hard has come off victory from STRIFE's Truth Though Defiance release.
Ringworm is a throw back to the great hardcore scene that erupted in the 90's but fizzled when emo provided a scene that was less intimidating to a bunch of whinners with Bieber like hair cuts. By the way, what happened to Snapcase?
Who cares, I forgot about that debaucle after Ringworm brought some heavy double kicker reminiscent of hatebreed, some some hard rifts that were similar.
Ringworm is classic Victory Records, but most similar to Inegrity, and Hatebreed. But if you are not down with the Holy Terror scene, or very religious this may not be the pick for you. However if you are serious about your tunes I would give them a listen before you diss them for their message or beliefs.
