This blog, and the twitter site I use to promote it and War On Music are part of my Independent Professional Project for Creative Communications at Red River College in Winnipeg.
The students got to choose what project they would do in order to earn credit for one entire course. I chose a promotional campaign for War On Music because it is one of my favourite music stores in the world, but I thought they could use more exposure as they are a niche shop that has a very particular audience.
To get a passing grade, and expand War On Music’s popularity I must complete several tasks:
Run a Twitter account for War On Music
Update this blog regularily
Create four print, and four radio ads for War On Music
Organize three concerts to raise awareness of War On Music
Follow the blog and see how things go for me in my first shot in the advertising game, and also updates on concerts, music, and the War On Music scene.
